What is carpet cleaning? Sound like a crazy way to start the introduction on a webpage that’s centered around carpet cleaning? It is, but for very good reason. Here at MV Carpet Cleaning all of our cleaning is done with a Hydramaster boxxer 421 Truckmount that can provide up to 240deg of hot water extraction cleaning with enough vacuum to wisk away moisture. This helps to provide a very deep level of cleaning and can be tailored to any type of carpet fiber or situation. Wool for example will be cleaned around 160deg, while typical nylon found in many homes tends to clean better around 210deg. We also offer 3 major varieties of products for light, moderate and heavy soil.
- Light soil. our most popular extraction detergent for light soil is Biokleen Fiber Glow. this is a biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning agent that rinses extremely well and will not attract soil
- Moderate Soil. There are a couple of ways we typically go about this as it’s our most common theme. The carpet is has a few bad spots, general wear and tear and just hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. In this situation we can use Fiber Glow and spike the pre treat with d-limonene which is a cleaning solvent made from orange peels. Very strong stuff and without introducing petroleum based products into the cleaning. The other common cleaning agent is Chemspec formula 90 which is also a minimum residue cleaner and slightly better with oily and or grimey carpet than Fiber Glow.
- Heavy soil. This is where the floor buffer and solvent based pre sprays come into play. Typically Heavy soil carpets are restoration jobs where it’s fairly obvious that the carpet will never look new again, the goal is just to make it look better. We can use anything from mild to wild and products are chosen on a case by case basis.
- Wool and other exotic fibers. From time to time we do get calls for wool wall to wall rug and more commonly area rugs. Wool is not exceptionally difficult to clean it just requires a different approach than standard nylon or olefin carpet. This again is a case by case product choice.
That’s at least a brief introduction to what we do and remember we’re only a phone call away. We also clean tile and grout as well as re-apply scotch-guard. No matter what your carpet cleaning needs
